Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota Staff
Tim Hathaway, Executive Director
As Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota, Tim administers statewide community development efforts to increase capacity for the prevention of child abuse. Tim began his career in Early Childhood Services over 20 years ago in Minot, ND, working with children and families in a variety of capacities including Child Care Center Director, Head Start Director, Trainer, and Consultant. Because of his extensive background working with Head Start programs, Tim joined the federal consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton to provide executive consultation services to Head Start programs throughout North and South Dakota. He joined Prevent Child Abuse in 2010, as the Executive Director and has been instrumental in the formation of the North Dakota Home Visitation Coalition. He graduated from Skidmore College with an undergraduate degree in Human Development. He is currently an adjunct instructor with Dakota College in Bottineau, teaching a course in Early Childhood Leadership and Administration.
Lisa Sangrey-Stump, Administrative Assistant
Lisa is from the Rocky Boy’s Reservation in Montana and a member of the Chippewa Cree tribe. A graduate of United Tribes Technical College with an AAS in Business Management, Lisa is also working towards her BA in Business Administration. Lisa has an interest in helping others and being involved in community and non-profit work. Lisa loves spending time with family and reading Native American history and literature as well as current events.
Mylinda Ogundipe, Program Support Manager
After working in private child care and family services for several years, Mylinda has joined Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota as the Program Support Manager. With a Master's degree in Public Administration from American University in Washington, DC, Mylinda has extensive practical and theoretical experience working with nonprofit organizations. In 2011, Mylinda served as Volunteer Coordinator for AID Atlanta, securing over 1,200 volunteers and assisting in fundraising over $1 million to benefit at-risk communities in the metro Atlanta area. A native of Georgia, Mylinda is a recent addition to the Bismarck area. When not working, Mylinda enjoys reading, writing plays and short stories, and jewelry making.
Allison Mahoney, Home Visitation Project Manager
Allison joined PCAND in October of 2011 as Program Support Manager and now serves as our Home Visitation Project Manager. Soon to be a licensed social worker, she holds a B.A. in Psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Bachelors of Social Work from Minot State University. She served over three years as Juvenile Institution Residential Specialist II at the North Dakota Youth Correctional Center and continues to provide Respite Care through Easter Seals. Her passion has always been enhancing the lives of children.
Karen Van Fossan, Communications Director and Authentic Voices Project Director
A creative arts therapist and community organizer, Karen is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree through United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, intending to serve as an ordained minister in North Dakota. In 2007, she received the Archibald Bush Artist Fellowship, which supported her to work as a community-based playwright in the Peace Garden State. Karen is honored to have received the Prairie Peacemaker Award and the Arc of Justice Award for her commitment to co-creating cultures of peace in North Dakota. Karen's collaborative work with marginalized teens is featured in Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson's powerful documentary Teen Writes: The Group That Opened the Box. Karen's proudest accomplishment is being foster mom to a compassionate and wonderful teenage daughter.
